AAR_2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Report Share Posted June 6, 2017 My employer applied the H1B visa extension on 09/23/2016 with approved I140,The H1b petion got upgraded to Premium Service on 10/15/2016.The USCIS generally will take 15 business days to provide the response on premium service but I did not get any response from USCIS and it is almost 8 months now.My employer contacted the USCIS and they said that it is pending with Security Check and they cannot do anything until security check cleared(Not sure what kind of security check) but other petions with my employer got approved successfully... My I94 got expired on 11/15/2016 and approaching 240 day rule soon.My employer not supporting the congressman approach and asked to raise request through Ombudsman.Please let me know if anybody faced same situation with H1b extension. Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated. Link to comment
