H1B Stamping Ottawa May 2017

Hello,

Posting my experience in Ottawa today for the benefit of those who need the info. My interview was at 9:30 and I reached at 9. After security check outside a lady checked passport, Canada status, DS-160 confirmation and photo. Thereafter was an airport type security check. Next went to counter 6/7 for I797 and passport check followed by fingerprints.

Questions asked for interview:

Client? I work in a EC model

Roles and Responsibilities

how long have I worked for employer?

highest level of education

he then told me that he is going to cancel the previous visa stamp and issue a new one.

finally said visa is approved and will get in 3-4 business days. Status changed to issued same evening. This is my 3rd Stamping in Canada and did not have any issues. Most worked related visas ahead of me were also approved. Saw a couple of rejections but they appeared non-work visas.

When was your appt.? 24th May ?  Mine was on  24th May 2017, status still showing administrative processing (as of Friday 26th 8 AM)

My appointment was on 24th May. The passport is being delivered today by CA post. Hoping to pick it up today.

When did the status changed from Administrative processing to next one ?

Our appointment was on 24th May  (8:15 AM)  for H1b & H4 , still waiting for passport return 

Recently emailed NIV , per them visa is in print process , online it says admin processing 

Any one in same situation or got passport back ?  those scheduled for 24th May  or later
