Waiting period until rejection

Hello,

My employer has applied for my H1B this year and I haven't still got any response. After USCIS declared on May 3rd that the data entr has been completed, how long should I wait before understanding that my H1B is picked or not picked this year? My H1B has been applied in the master' quota.

We are in same boat. My Wife's employer file H1 this year and not heard anything about it. How long should we wait before we go H4 EAD route.
