PIO to OCI conversion.

Hi,

My daughter has PIO card which is issued in 2013. We have plan to Travel to India in July'17th. Are there any mandate that PIO card should be converted to the OCI before we travel.

If yes, should we apply for a fresh OCI or there are clauses to get it converted.
