FH1B
Hello All, My H1B is valid until Sept 2018. I have an opportunity with a new employer. Under the current conditions, how safe is it to move to a different employer? My I140 is approved and has been more than 180 days. Should my new employer file for Green Card and H1 transfer at the same time? What are my options if my old employer revokes my I140, if i start working at the new employer with just the receipt ? Please advice. Thanks! Link to comment

Any employer can use this approved I140 for H1 extension beyond 6 years. Approved I140 with current employer is required only when your priority date is close and to apply for EAD. Link to comment
quest2010
I have same situation as yours. I have an opportunity with a new employer and I wanted to know if it is ok to start with new employer based on just the receipt notice. I posted a question but no responses so far. Here's my question Link to comment
quest2010
My guess is it should be ok, if you have good credentials and a good employer. Link to comment
