L1 to H1B Status change

Scenario -  Person is currently working with Employer A in US on L1 visa and applied for H1B with Employer B.

  1. Does the status automatically change from L1 to H1 on October first or only when your H1B is approved or at any other stage? Or when does exactly the status gets changed from L1 to H1B?

  2. If person wants to continue with Employer A on L-1 status. What’s the option that Status should not change from L1 to H1B.

  3. With respect to future US Visa stamping, is there any drawback, if person continue working with Employer A on L1.
