H4 to H1B

I am currently working on H4-EAD and due to the recent uncertainty with H4-EAD, my employer is filing for H1B this year. If my application gets picked up and approved before Oct 1st, and if H4-EAD doesn't get revoke by the administration...Can I choose to stay on H4-EAD? If so does my employer need to withdraw the h1 application? Do you see any other issues with this approach? Please shed some light

No you cannot once your H-1B is approved. You have to apply for change of status to H-4 again and also for new H-4 EAD.
