A2 dependent visa and employment authorization

Hi!

My mother works at the Embassy of France and I have a dependent A2 visa valid for 3 years or so. I'm 27.

I broke up with my boyfriend in Paris, so I moved here with them a few weeks ago. I was filling the Form I-566 to request employment authorization to look for a job around Washington, but I have just seen that there is a maximum age of 25!

Does it mean I cannot work in the United States or I am just freaking out for nothing?

Another question is: what if I do an unpaid internship? and what about volunteering at an NGO?
