Time Gap between exit and entry into USA

Hi Gurus

Myself and my kids are US citizens and my wife still a green card holder.

My kids are in India only for studies. My wife every year leave USA say in June 2015 and return back around April 2016 say.

This she has been doing for many years and due to certain family reasons my kids are in India and hence also does the travel like this.

This year also She left USA in June 2016 and still in India.

Presidential election was over and the new President brings lots of reforms in Immigration.

Is there any new rule for Green hold holders stays away from USA . Is that OK if she returns around March end or in April 2017?

Pl help me with your valuable feedback.

There is no new rule, but she has put her GC at risk for quite some time by staying out of the US for such long durations.

To keep the GC, it is not and has never been enough to just come to the US for a couple of weeks each year. She has to live her for real.
