H1 ammendment and Extension

Hi , 

I have filed H1b amendment in Nov 2016 for Boston location for A client, and in Sept 2016  we filed H1 extension + amendment for Memphis location B client.

The boston location amendment is still in progress , normally it takes 6-8 months however its already 1 year still we have not received approval on that old amendment and now I want to process extension in premium .so as per my employer we need to first process my old amendment in premium then only I can process my H1 extension +amendment in premium.

if in case my old amendment gets rejected or RFE then does it willeffect on my extension +new amendment ?

Is there any chances of rejection or RFE for my old amendment ?

actually when i processed my old amendment in Nov 2015, after 3 months i went to india due to family emergency and i came back to US in Sept 2016 for different location and different client.

H1B expired on 30th Sept 2016

H1b Extension +new amendment filed on 23rd Sept 2016-in progress

H1b old amendment was processed on nov 2015.-status is still in progress.-
