Switching Employer After I140 Approved

Hi

 I have almost done with h1b for 6 years. With the my current employer I140 got approved. If i want to switch to new employer can i use approved I140 for h1b extension after 6 years with new employer. If yes how long i can keep go on extension with old employer I140? i heard yes we can go as long as old employer did not revoked my I140. please let me know.

As of now the practice has been as follows. With an approved I-140 you are entitled to three year extensions beyond the initial 6 and with ANY employer. Once you get a three year extension of H1 and subsequently the I-140 is revoked, the three year extension already granted stands. Future extensions are not possible if the I-140 is revoked subsequently.
