Need amendment or not ?

I got my H1B stamping done on Client A in India in 2014. After returning from India, I moved to Client B. My employer filed a new LCA for Client B but did not file an amendment for Client B as the Amendment rule was not in effect until then. Now I have to go to India in Dec and my employer says an amendment is not needed - only H1B copy and LCA is needed. So Do I need to file an amendment and get stamped all over again or can I travel with the current stamping(Client A) and new LCA.
