Admit Until Date in I-94 and Passport exit stamp date discrepancy

Hi,

I entered US in the month of April'16 and my POE is Atlanta, Georgia.

During my port of entry the immigration officer written in passport as valid till July 23, 2018 (this is based on I-797). But when i checked my I-94

document it says Admit till 09/23/2018.

I never thought that might an issue but recently i changed my employer and moved to different state North Carolina, here i went to DMV for applying driving license, the DMV officer told me this is a discrepancy between passport exit date and I-94 admit till dates and they want to verify the status with SAVE systems.

Can some one kindly let me know whether Passport exit date and I-94 Admit till dates need to be same else it will be an issue.

Let me know how can i correct this, i need your really your help else i am not sure what is the impact with this.

Approach the nearest CBP Deferred Inspection Site and have them correct your online I-94....they should generally agree to do it since it was their fault and is more of a clerical error. Call them before you get to their office as they may request you to schedule an appointment online.
