I140 - RFE - Lateral Entry - Educational Evaluation

I got RFE for my I-140, asking me to provide an explanation/documentation showing that my 3 year bachelor of engineering degree adds up to 4 year bachelor degree with the credits from the State Board of Technical Education and Training.

 

Also need to provide proof of the transfer of the credits from the Diploma to the Bachelor’s degree either listed on the Madras University Transcripts or a letter from the University stating how these credits are transferred/used by the 4 year bachelor program.

 

Since I completed 3 year Diploma in Engineering, I was exempted from appearing 1st year of Bachelor of Engineering and admitted directly into 2nd year/3rd semester.

 

Let me know if anyone faced this issue and how you handled it.

What happened to your case

I was in same boat, got letter from Diploma board and Engineering college justifying the direct second year admission based on AICTE rule, eventually case was approved.
