Can i file EAD for my wife later?

Hi,

My PD dates became current and i want to file for my EAD. But my wife is in INDIA and will come back after 2 months.

 

 

Can i file for my EAD first and do it for my wife later?(assuming the dates would still be current.)

 

Please suggest.

I believe in order to apply for EAD that person has to be in US.

She would have to file an I-485 first. And that can only be done if she is in the US. I-485 and EAD can be filed together, but EAD without I-485 is not possible.
