Urgent: How to retrieve/get I140 receipt number and approval Copy

Hi All,

 

I understand that there are many forums on this topic discussed.Since there is no adequate information , I am posting this again. Please help me to get this info.

 

Situation:  I got my i140 approved and H1-Ext done on top of it. Now planning to switch to new employer. My current employer is not providing the I140 receipt number.

 

Q1: Through FOIA , Can I get the receipt number and approval Copy? What is the reason I should mention in the request? Is it ok to apply? any risks?

 

Q2: Do I need to carry the copy of 140 Approval if I got to stamping?

 

Q3: Can I switch to new employer once I have the i140 receipt number immediately? Do I need to wait for some time?
