Change of Status and I-94 Issues

Hello Experts,

 

I am on valid L1A Visa (valid till Aug 2017) and my GC filed in EB1 category one month ago. I 485, 131 and 765 documents are in pending stage. Earlier I applied for H1 and got approved petition valid from Oct 1 2016. In order to avoid H1 status, planning to travel Canada last week of Sep and come back to US on Oct 2 and present L1 documentation to retain L1 status.  Is it possible to travel international with valid visa while AOS and I-131 are in pending  in order to change the status? Is there a easy option such as cancelling H1 petition instead of international travel?

I am on H1B Visa and my husband is on L1 Visa. I want to change my status from H1B to L2.

 

If I have to change the status, do I need to follow any process or can I go back to my home country and come back on L2 visa? Does my husband's company need to process anything for my L2 visa?

 

Can someone help me with information.
