H1B transfer done. Do I need to apply COS for myself and my dependents?

Hi,

Can someone let me know the procedure once the H1B transfer is done. Do I need to apply for a COS as there is not really a change of status, I just moved from one employer to another with a different H1B petition. Do I need to apply COS for my kid as well. The current H4 that my kid is on will not expire for over an year.

 

I would appreciate if someone can kindly guide me.

If the H1 approval notice has an I-94 at the bottom, you are all set.

H4s that are still valid remain valid.

I had to do nothing with dependents after H1 transfer.
