Passport Expired/ DUI Pending Case

Hello,

 

My Passport Expired on 04/05/2016, and I got a DUI on 04/01/2016 , which is still in Pending Case.

 

I am now trying to renew my Passport thru the new Website :  https://www.in.ckgs.us/

 

But they have a question  :

 

"Do You have any pending Criminal cases in India /USA?"

 

I am not sure what should I mention?

 

I want to be frank about it. But I am worried, if it will affect my Passport renewal?

 

Please , support me with the answers.

When is the court date? Usually at the first date charges are officially filed.

The Pretrial date is 07/27/2016.

 

So, what do You recommend me to do ?

 

Mark "Yes" on the column for "Pending Criminal Case"?

 

Please suggest? if so "Yes", will it affect for my passport renewal?

It would seem that any criminal case would be started on the 27th onwards. No one can tell you what to enter in a form. Use the common sense approach.

Hi GArun

how did your passport renewal go? Did the prudential revocation of visa (if any) in your case impact the passport renewal. Please share the details if you can. I am in similar situation with dependent passports getting expired with h1b and h4 prudential revoked. Any information will help.
