newgolfplayer
Hi Everyone, In year 2000, I had a conviction (misdemeanor reduced to infraction). I am close to completing 5 years since receiving the GC. I have always maintained a full disclosure policy and have disclosed the conviction as part of all visa appointments as well as GC process. During the GC process I went through the interview process describing the incident to the interviewing officer. Now as part of the citizenship process, I am planning to do the same. I plan to include a statement of facts, a certified copy of the court records as well appropriately disclose it on the N400 form itself. I am wondering if: 1. You anticipate any issues? 2. Do you recommend that I should be consulting an attorney? On another topic, this year I became self-employed (consulting). As part of being self-employed, we are supposed to be making "estimated tax payments". For the first quarter, my estimated payments were late by a month. I have always filed tax returns on time and don't owe any taxes. Do you anticipate this being an issue? Thanks a lot for your help in advance. Link to comment
