Applying H1-B (cap exempt) using I-140 approval from my home country

Currently I am on H1-B visa and living and working in USA. 
My visa is maxing out (6 years gets completed) on February 2017 and my I-140 is approved. 
Due to my personal situation, I have to go India immediately and work from India for at least next 1 - 2 years. Can I apply for new H1-B (cap exempt) while I staying in India using my I-140 approval? Please confirm.

Yes you can provided your previous employer does not revoke the approved I140, you can get N number of 3 years extensions as long a an employer sponsors you..
