H1b story 1. Got green 221g aug 2nd week 2011 chennai emp ven client 2. Submitted response sep week 2011 3. Got blue 221g oct 3rd week 2nd request asking to notarize few docs submitted (lazy employer didn’t do initially) 4. Withdrew petition@Consulate from emp ven client 5. Reappeared for the another interview with direct employer (top employer in the world) during oct 3rd week 6. Got pink slip (they are wasting papers, isn’t it!!!) after the same vo stating that everything is good and give your passport (can’t hate me more because of the religion I belong to!!! as well the weightage of the employer-employer says you idiot give em the visa asap) 7. Sent to Another Indian lady VO for additional admin processing, she gave the actual Pink 221g (so don’t think Indians there can help you) After 5.5 weeks, VISA GOT APPROVED, STAMPED, LIVING PEACEFULLY IN THE USA THAN IN INDIA NOW. fyi: 1st h1b took 15 months to get stamped. make your decision based on the story here.

Called DOS today - Says still pending Called Consulate today - under review ChennaiNIV Email response - under review Does anyone has been asked for passport after 221g green given without retaining passport? I am planning to transfer to other employer under premium processing, what are the steps to be taken?

Me: Hi VO: Hello Me: Gave DS 160 Confirmation, I 797, Passport VO: Where is LCA Me: I misplaced unfortunately could not give that, she got angry VO: She was angry lady from here VO: where do u work, employer, vendor, client, manager, location, etc. me: answered appropriately VO: noted everything and gave me 221g green with all options checked me: how long the process would take VO: depends on your employer howlong they take to send the docs me: can't figure out anything from this 221g but GREEN gives me a feeling of green signal once the docs given to their satisfaction. me: submitted the requested docs aug 31, but will be send to the consulate only sep 02 2011, due to the continuous holidays in India. Not sure how long they are going to take. Notes: Sent family in the month of June and they got the visa stamped kids + wife Sent them to the USA sep 05 2011 had to cancel my ticket (missing them and not travelling with them) unfortunately. Hoping they will not have any issues on h4 while h1b under 221g. meantime other employer is ready to transfer the visa but not sure...what to do...
