  1. My mother-in-law from India is in the US on a visitor visa with an original I-94 expiration date of 29th April 2020. Due to the deteriorating Covid situation we sought a 3 month extension of stay with USCIS on the 21st of March 2020 via online I-539. As of the date of this posting, the status of our application has not moved past "submitted". As the Covid situation has not sufficiently improved in either the US or India, we seek to extend her stay by another 3 months. Is this doable? And if so, would filing a new I-539 with the new intended date of departure suffice? Thank you!
