@221green - great news buddy..so finally the consulate asked u to submit passport after 4 months or 19weeks from the time u submitted your documents..thats good to hear and gives lot of hope to me as i have now been waiting for over 3 months now...was ur employer or client contacted? what model r u EC or EVC? keep us updated...

@221g@chennai - there are guys who are waiting for months n i am one such person. been waiting for almost 3 months now :( all u have to do is be patient n hope for the best soon.

@seenu - i think it should be much earlier since they have requested only ur passport. shd take 1-2 weeks

@pranavi - Sorry to hear that buddy and all i can say is its really unfortunate. Well yes your case has been denied and sent back to KCC/USCIS and you dont need to wait for anything more. You can now apply for a new H1 and try your luck again. Again i am really sorry and i know how it feels to be denied but having said that don't give up and apply again with a new H1 and i m sure it will be all good.

@221gGR_CNH - Congrats man and all the best. Please pray for all of us waiting in line to be successfull as well with the visa stamping

@harinir - Still 4-6 weeks turn around time is the case with many successfull cases just that for few cases, this doesnt seem to apply. Theres nothing in our hands and all we can do is just wait and hope for the best and i know its terrible and really frustrating. The recent updates from the guys in here is disappointing as well and many of them seem to be denied over the last two weeks. Hope all will be good for all in waiting, GOD, PLEASE HELP US

I did send a mail to VFS on my case status and they said that they forwarded the mail to Consulate and that i would get a reply from the consulate directly to my mail but its been 2 weeks and still i did not get any response from the consulate....I am not sure whats going on

Any updates from anyone?

@221gGR_CHN - Just be patient, its been just over 1 week since you submitted you ppt. I am glad at least you updated you case details now in this thread

@darba - Just hope for the best and i am sure it will be all good. Just that all our patience is been tested

@cool_naveen - It means still you have to wait and they are yet to make a decision on your case as its in AP

@god2save - i am sorry to know that ur case has been denied... December has not started on a good note for sure. Oh Lord, whats happening? The only option left for you now is apply for a new h1 and hope for the best again, now since its been sent back to uscis, the question of withdrawing doesn't arise. Please don't give up and try again and i am sure it will be all good this time with new h1, again i feel sorry for u n its unfortunate.

@devrad - No, you dont need to wait for the letter. Since they mentioned that your case has been sent to KCC/USCIS and closed at chennai consulate office, you can go ahead and apply for H4....Good luck

@l1toh1us - yes buddy, thats what it means and i am sorry to hear that....try applyin for a new h1...again i m sorry, its unfortunate. Looks like this week has started on a bad note....dont be disappointed n there r always other options

@devrad - that doesn't look like a good news, i am sorry to hear that. So from which email you received this reply? Did you get back the submitted docs? Was ur wife's employer or client contacted? I am again sorry yaar, its unfortunate
