  1. Hi Folks, My previous employer filed for PERM and I-140 in 2018 (approved), my EB2 priority date is Feb 2018. Based on the approved application, they filed for a 3-year extension (beyond 6-year period) in 2019 and it's approved from 2019 to 2022. (Visa and petition valid until May 2022). I changed jobs in Aug 2020 after my current employer C filed for H1B extension which is valid from 2020 to 2023. Do I need to start the PERM process with the current employer in order to apply for the H1B extension in 2023 ? (I'm aware that it's good to start the PERM process soon with the new employer but is this the required step to apply for H1B extension in 2023 ? ) I have an MS degree from a US university and all my jobs are in the same field.
