  1. Hello - I have received GC EAD recently. I plan on moving to another Full time job on AC-21. Can i continue working for on H1B (unexpired I-797) and also work for this new employer on GC EAD? I am being told that this would void H1B status. I'm fine with it (moving to AOS status) as long as i do that secondary job until I-797 with current employer expires. But will it cause any issues with AOS whenever priority date becomes current ? In short, Can working on a void H1B status after using EAD be problematic for AOS whenever priority date becomes current ?
  2. I'm moving to a new employer after completing 180+ days of pending AOS. Upon asking to file supplement J, below is what the new employer's attorney has to say. Please let me know your thoughts.. Will it be a problem waiting for filing 485 J? Also, could this delay the adjudication of 485? Pasting response from the attorney of new employer - Please note that we typically do not submit the J Supplement proactively since whenever a document is submitted to USCIS without a filing fee (which is not required for the J Supplement) or as a response to a Request for Evidence (RFE), USCIS seems to have a difficult time matching the documents with the pending application and returns them. So, we typically wait for the RFE or the interview notice to submit the J Supplement. And I do not foresee any issues with being able to submit the supplement later when requested.
  3. No, you can file I-485 through employer A without joining them
  4. My previous employer with whom I-140 was approved in 2017 has filed for I-485 without me having to join them back.My AOS will not be adjudicated for at least 2-3 years since the final action date has been retrogressed a lot. What negative impact it may have to my AOS if I use AC-21 portability after 180 days of pending AOS without me joining the previous employer? Can they revoke my I-140 or 485 within 180 days if i don't join them?
