221g Admin processing is in progress and is delayed for a long time due to COVID and the bans in effect. The problem is that my I 797 is about to expire in couple of weeks. What if 221g processing is not completed before that? This is my first visa stamp attempt on this H1B petition. I have not travelled to USA . Can I extend/renew my petition even though I have never got a visa stamped?
