  1. I have H1B Visa which got expired in September 2019. My employer has applied for an extension and decision is still pending with USCIS. My Driving license in Connecticut expires next month. I checked in multiple DMV locations and all officials are saying that I need a valid I-94 to extend my license. They refused to check SAVE stating they can't verify in SAVE without unexpired I-94 date. My query is - 1. DMV rules change with each state. Has anyone faced similar situation in Connecticut and able to renew? 2. I see similar posts where Other states like TX, NJ etc were able to verify in SAVE with expired H1B. Does anyone know what date they use to verify immigration status in SAVE system?
