  1. Visitor Visa is not tied to sponsor but to your father. It should not be a problem. At the port of entry, he should answer truthfully. There should not be any problem.
  2. My bank letter is not on a color letterhead with no signature. I am wondering if I can send all the documents electronically. Only document with signature would be affidavit of support form I-134. Any suggestions?
  3. My father will be attending visitor visa interview. Initially I thought I could send all the documents electronically but came across I-134 affidavit of support which requires signature. How did you guys send your documents? Did you send them in postal mail or send them electronically? Thank you!

Few Question with DS-160 form filling

    1. I read on the forums that sponsoring is least of the issues for visa officer to reject the visa, i.e., it does not matter who sponsors be it you or your father. I am also in the same boat and picked "SELF" as the option for my father. Let's not overthink. Showing strong ties in India and that they will be back after the visit is important here. 2. My father retired in 2007 and I provided all the previous employment details. You are supposed to provide all those details.

Is there B2 visa waiver program?

Hello: I need clarification. My mother's visitor visa was rejected twice before she was issued a visitor visa. Will she be eligible for interview waiver? I am hearing conflicting opinions on this as the following statement is confusing: I have no refusals for a visa in any class after my most recent visa issuance.
  7. My parents are planning to visit me in US. My father never applied for US visa while my mom held 10 year visitor visa which expired last month. So, she is planning to utilize drop box facility (hopefully she does not have to attend interview!) Now my question is, while my father is filling out DS 160, does he have to start a family/group application and start filling DS 160 for my mother (even though she does not have to attend interview?) I understand she has to complete DS 160 for drop box option but was wondering whether my father has to wait until my mother's DS 160 is completely filled out to schedule his visa interview appointment? Thanks for your suggestions!
  8. Is there a visa interview waiver program for B2 visas if the earlier visa expired within last 12 months? Is there any credibility to it? Answers to all the below questions is YES. Would the applicant qualify for waiver? -- Eligibility Criteria for all applicants except child below 14 years of age and applicant above 80 years of age or older: I have a previous U.S. visa in the same class as the visa for which I wish to apply My most recent visa was issued in India I received my visa after January 1, 2008 My prior visa is not annotated “Clearance Received” or “Department Authorization”. My most recent visa (in the same class for which I am applying) was issued on or after my 14th birthday My most recent visa (in the same class for which I am applying) was not lost/stolen or cancelled. I have no refusals for a visa in any class after my most recent visa issuance If I am applying for an H or L (individual) or R visa, my prior visa in the same class is still valid or expired within the last 12 months. OR If I am applying for any other class of visa, my prior visa in the same class is still valid or expired within the last 12 months. Note: Blanket L1 visa applicants do not qualify for the Interview Waiver, but Blanket L2 spouses are eligible. If I am applying for an F visa, am continuing as student at same school for which my previous visa was issued. If I am applying for a J visa, my current DS-2019 is issued by the same institution as the institution listed on my previous visa
  9. Hello: I am filling DS 160 form and I think I selected correct category of Visa which is B2. When I clicked "Continue", I got below message which is confusing to me. Doesn't Hyderabad US consulate process B2 visas? Do my parents have to go to Chennai for interview? Thanks.
