  1. My case received a 221g blue slip in Mumbai, and after submitting the required docs, I received a final email as pasted below. My question is: what is the maximum number of days I have to submit the passport and I-797 in Mumbai? I am currently outside India, and can only go back a month from now. Is that too late? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Sir/Madam: Greetings from the U.S. Consulate General Mumbai. Please follow the instructions below in order to continue processing your pending visa application further. We are ready for final processing. Please submit your passport, copy of your I-797 , pending letter to the Consulate General via any of the 11 document delivery locations. Please visit www.ustraveldocs.com/in for more information. Please carry a copy of this email for ready reference. Please note that this email communication does not confirm that your visa is issued at this time. Regards, Non Immigrant Visa unit.
  2. I received a blue 221(g) slip asking for resume, publications, research etc in a Word file. Does anyone have a sample Word file to show the proper format? The embassy told me my Word file was not properly formatted, but they did not tell me which part. My format is shown below: Resume on page 1, with following information starting on page 2 Publications ... Research ... Current Position ... Past Position ... Funding ... Travel (outside US) ... Contact Information ...
