Travel on STEM OPT while H1B pending and got an RFE

Hey Sunil, Can you please let me know what you're going to do about it? I'm also on the same boat as you, i need to travel during December but my petition is still in RFE, I'm planning to travel to INdia on OPT stem(Valid until 2020) and wait there until I get a decision, if it gets approved, will stamp and then re-enter US? Can you please let me know if that's okay based on your experiences? Thanks, Harish

    Travel during H1b RFE processing

I wouldn't be unemployed, I will be working full time from India ( WFH) until i get a decision on H1.

    Travel during H1b RFE processing

Hi All, I'm currently on OPT stem extension which is valid until Feb 2020. I had applied for my H1b this year and it's on the RFE-response processing stage, I would need to travel to India at any cause on Dec 15th this year. Would it be okay to travel to India stay there until I get a decision, if Approved, ask my company to mail the h1b documents to India, get it stamped and then return? If its rejected, then re-enter US with my already existing OPT stem visa? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks, Harish
