  1. This is needed for prevailing wage application, closest soc codes for DevOps are like 15-1133, 15-1132 from here. Looks like 15-1133 is more on embedded software. 15-1132 is more on application development than infrastructure and cloud configurations. Any other suitable codes on DevOps engineering are appreciated.
  2. Our company decided to move with a different attorney and i had approved Prevailing Wage for PERM, new attorney who reviewed the PWD told that it is poorly done and had a high chances for audit. Here are his points, 1. It says MS + 0 years of experience. 2. Job duties are very basic and too many technologies, below is the entire description. 3. No special skills mentioned, Job title is Software engineer different from my actual title DevOps engineer (Per H1b). if PWD need to be redone it is going to cost 5 more months, if i proceed with the current one what are the chances for audit/approval.
  3. My opt was denied for the reason "Beneficiary has not complied with the terms and conditions of STEM OPT". Notice was similar to the one in I'm leaving the country on Feb 3, Here are my questions. 1) I started to work for that employer on Feb 2 2018, are the unlawful days count from Feb 2 2018 or Aug 9 2018 ? 2) ** Planning to get married, what are the odds in coming back on H4 in the next few months? Paranoid to all this rules, i did my masters in a decent university and timely submitted my I983, only mistake is i worked for a consulting firm on a third party location.
  4. Dude leave the country immediately before Feb 5. I'm in the same boat 😞 https://www.uscis.gov/news/news-releases/uscis-changing-policy-accrued-unlawful-presence-nonimmigrant-students-and-exchange-visitors
  5. Hello, This is a new H1B application, my online status changed to Notice Explaining USCIS' Actions Was Mailed on sep 16. But the description is like, On August 25, 2018, we began reviewing your Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker, Receipt Number ----------. We mailed you a notice informing you of the action we intend to take on your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice and submit any requested materials. If you do not receive your notice by September 8, 2018, please call the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address. Unfortunately we still didn't get any notice from USCIS 😞 😞 Here are my questions, 1) What does that status mean ? is it a RFE or NOID ? 2) My attorney emailed them on sep 20 still no response, is it the best way to contact USCIS or is there any other way where we can get faster response ? 3) if it is a NOID, i heard that the response time is very limited like 30 days, i still had no notice and even the online status changed after 20 days. Any idea on how to deal with it ? I appreciate any help on this issue.
