  1. My H4 extension was approved in the beginning of March 2019 along with my spouse's H1b extension (Nebraska service center, premium processing). It has been almost 4 months since I received my h4 extension approval notice by mail, but the USCIS website still shows the status of the case as 'Case was received'. Has anyone had this issue? Should I contact USCIS requesting to update the correct case status on the website? I have applied for standalone H4 EAD renewal after H4 extension approval notice was received. Will the incorrect case status displayed on USCIS website affect my H4 ead application processing?
  2. I have a question on the documents required for H4 EAD renewal. I applied for H4 EAD renewal in the last week of March 2019 (standalone H4 EAD, applied after H1 and H4 extension were approved in Premium processing in the 3rd week of March). The application is still in ‘Case Received’ status at Vermont service center. Recently I am seeing a lot of people posting in discussion forums that they received RFE requesting for the H1B spouse’s pay stubs. Is this a required document for H4 EAD renewal? I did not submit the pay stubs for my past renewals. Also is there a way to send spouse's pay stubs to USCIS without receiving RFE? Thanks in advance.
  3. Thanks for all the replies. @JoeF: To clarify, I was on H1 till Aug 2012 (then resigned). So I have been in H1 status for few months in the past 6 years. So I assume I would be cap exempt?

  5. Hello, I would like to know if I apply for H1, will it be subject to Cap or exempt from Cap. Here is my scenario. Thanks for your help. I was converted from L2 to H1 in Oct 2011. Worked on H1 for 10 months then resigned. Continued on H4. Started working (for different company) on H4 EAD from Sep 2016 Thanks in advance.
