    Question about I-131 Approval Notice

Hello pontevecchio Thank you for the reply. I received the Combo Card today and it has both EAD and AP. Does this mean I can ignore the I-797#1?Regards
  3. Hello,My I-765/I-131 (I-485 pending ) renewal was approved recently and today I received two I-797's in the mail.1) The First I-797 is only for I-131. It contains the usual details about my name, A#, received date, notice date and validity dates. It does not contain the class (c 09P). It has the following paragraph (with the first line in bold):We have approved your application for Advance Parole Document and notified the consulate or overseas USCIS office listed above of the approval. You should contact the consulate or the overseas USCIS office, and when instructed, submit the photographs you were instructed to take as part of the application process. The office will then issue the Advance Parole Document, which will show the validity dates and any travel condition.2) The second I-797 is the one I have received in my previous renewals. It contains the usual information about my name, A#, received date, notice date, validity dates. It also contains the class (c 09P) and says that the application of employment authorization and advance parole has been approved and the card is on the way and information about AC21 etc.Question:In the I-131 form for renewal, I had never listed any consulate. There is also no overseas USCIS office listed above of the first I-797 approval either. In all my previous four renewals, I have never received a I-797 that contained a paragraph as described in the first I-797. Is this a problem? If so, should I call USCIS or take an InfoPass appointment?Thank you

    I-765/I-131 Renewal : Questions

Hello, Can someone who has recently applied for I-765 renewal please reply? Thank you
  6. Hello, My current I-765 combo card (I-485 based) expires in December 2019. I have a few questions about renewal: 1) I had last applied for renewal in September 2017 and was approved for December 2017-December 2019. Given the delays these days, would you recommend I apply for renewal in the first week of July? 2) Has anything changed in the application process since 2017 for I-765/I-131 renewal? Thank you

Question about I-94 status on the CBP website

Hello xTDX. Thank you so much! Your advice helped me. I am able to see the latest entry now. Regards
  8. Hello, My father landed in US on a B2 visa yesterday (March 29). When I click the "Get most recent I-94" link, it still shows his previous arrival from 2017. But his March 29, 2019 arrival is displayed under the "Travel history results" link. Question: How long does it take for the most recent arrival to be updated on the CBP website under "Get most recent I-94"? Thank you

  10. Hello, My I-485 has been pending since Feb 2012. I received two traffic tickets today: 1) Speeding - 61 in 45 zone (Moving Violation) 2) Illegal Window Tint - Drivers (Equipment Violation) For 1) The officer told me that since my driving record is good (+5 points, no history of reckless driving). when I appear in court in about 5 weeks, he will inform the judge about my record. He said that based on his experience with the judge, he is confident that the judge will probably dismiss the citation and I will not receive any demerit points. For 2) The officer advised me to remove the tint on my windows, bring printed photos of the car after the tint has been removed to the court and the judge will dismiss the citation and I will not receive any demerit points. Since the newer I-485 is asking for all previous traffic violations, I have a few questions: 1) Despite my good driving record, if the judge finds me guilty of a moving violation for speeding, how will that effect my I-485? 2) Would I be called for an interview? Thank you
  11. Hello pontevecchio, Thank you for your helpful reply! He would retain the names as in his previous visa. His passport does not have a surname. Will this cause an issue for a trip to US in the coming months for a B1/B2? Once he is back in India, he will change the name in his passport. Would that work?
  12. Hello, Can someone please reply? Thank you
  13. Hello, My father is citizen of India. He was issued a B1/B2 visa in India in Aug 2009. His name on his passport in Aug 2009: Surname : (blank) Given Name : AA BB CC His name on his B1/B2 visa in Aug 2009: Surname : CC Given Name : AA BB He has made five trips (duration : 2 months) between 2009-2017 without any issues. The visits are about visiting family and maybe a bit of travel. He renewed his passport in 2017 and his name appears the same as his previous passport. He is currently applying to renew his B1/B2 visa and the DS-160 form requires him to enter a surname. I see the following two options: Option #1: Copy all his names under "Given name" to his surname and say FNU for his given names in DS-160 as below Surname : AA BB CC Given Name : FNU Option #2: Use the order of names in his previous visa: Surname : CC Given Name : AA BB Questions: 1) Which option is the correct one? 2) If Option #1 is fine, will there be issues if he is sponsored for a green card in the future and will need a SSN etc? If there will be issues, is it okay to wait until that time to change the names in his passport? Thank you

    485 Supp J Receipt Notice

Hello Satya, I have a question about I-485 J which is unrelated to your question. If you don't mind, could you please answer? I-485 J asks for a non-technical job description. My PERM job description is 100% technical. How did you describe your job in a non-technical way? Thank you
