About B1overstay

  1. I accidentally overstayed my B1/B2 by 30 days when i realized very late that CBP had given me a 3 month stay rather than the usual 6 months (I have traveled multiple times to the US) earlier this year. It was pure accident and i left the next day i realized this was the case. I have now been admitted into one of the best US schools for my masters and have to apply for F1. Would this overstay cause me issues with F1? I do have time till summer 2015 before i can apply for F1. Should I risk travelling back to US on current visa/apply for a new B1 just to check if i have a flag (I was not stopped at the airport while leaving). What is the best course of action in my case?
