lol bad question to ask here..now you will see some senior members come and bash you about consulate shopping and will ask you to go to your home country. its your preference, your choices and your convenience don't make decisions based on their nag. you have choice to go to canada or india for stamping, you can choose any consulate based on your convenience. stamping rate depends on your case and documentation you carry. make a wise decision
-
congrats both of you

I just saw this notice on Canada site, People with experience please read and let us know what you comprehend from this? http://canada.usembassy.gov/visas/visas/categories-and-requirements/important-notice-for-applicants-with-a-visitors-permit-to-canada2.html

Firstly I thought this was a professional forum and we are not allowed to use words like **** etc, secondly its upto an individual where he wants to go get stamped. We are not illegal immigrants. As per US consulate they gave us an option that we could attend the interview in jamaica or canada (in old days mexico), and we are just using it. We are not breaking any law. If we were to be at fault, it would not be a fault at all. Its like choosing to go eat a fast food instead of waiting an hr at a restaurant. Btw I am pretty sure, well you can keep saying all you want. Not a single person who reads your comments care about them because you don't share information you try to intimidate. That is not going to work sir, and yeah if you think people will stop looking for a new consulate to get stamped then you are dreaming. Please look at my reply above. Both of you guys, people are not at fault here. They had an option to use and they used it.

Hi pawanismfan, well said about @RAHUL412 and @JoeF, you are absolutely correct. If we visit canada or jamaica for stamping it will take a week at max, if we visit india it will take more than 3 weeks. We want to get stamped so that we can visit india when we can. It is much more easier and we can spend time with family happily instead of worrying about visa. these guys should know what they speak. they are just trying to intimidate us. @RAHUL412 and @JoeF Please do not intimidate people. When there is an option people will use it. We are not doing anything illegally. We are just using one of the given option. I would like to ask you to tell you, first of all please don't call it consulate shopping, second is USCIS had given us an option to go stamping in Jamaica and Canada. we are just using it, so why would you say we did a mistake?

Have you booked your flight yet? I have not booked my flight.
-
Hi Rahul, I understand that you are a senior member here, but now we cannot go back and fix things. If you have any suggestions please help us if not please skip the page. Please do not intimidate us. This is not what you "were" saying its about what we have to do now. We have paid the fee, filled the ds 160 forms booked the date, the consulate cancelled the date. So what now? If you have the answer to this based on your expertise please tell us or just skip the thread. Hope you understand. Thanks Member

I just saw this on Jamaica visa site. Please go through this and let me know if we can still apply for H1 Stampings in Jamaica. i have paid my fee and they cancelled it due to high visa volumes. http://kingston.usembassy.gov/mobile//applicants-outside.html
