  1. Will USCIS verify the reference letters submitted along with EB1A documentation? What type and level of verification done on the reference letters? Is it always required to provide contact details (phone # and email) for the people writing the reference letters ?
  2. Hi, I need help identifying professional associations which help me qualify for EB1A category criteria. I am an engineer and IT professional working for one of the top most IT services company in the world. Few people have suggested IEEE senior membership which I am working on currently.. But, need to identify any other professional associations/organizations that I should consider ... Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated...
  3. Hi, I was on H1B visa in USA but had to leave due to visa transfer denial. I have my car and some of personal stuff still left in USA. I need to sell my CAR and dispose off some of personal stuff and hence want to enter USA. I have valid B1/B2 visa ... How can I enter USA using B1/B2 visa ? What reason should I mention at the port of entry? Please help me.. its really urgent..
  4. Thanks.. What are the chances of getting approval if I apply for visa transfer on 14th October (out of status from 7th Oct) ? Is one week of gap acceptable usually by USCIS or this could still be a big issue ?
  5. Thanks for your reply... what are the chances of getting approval if I file on October 14th (one week gap).?
  6. I got an approved H1 petition from Employer A while I was in India. Then I got another approved H1 petition from employer B and then travelled to USA on that petition (employer B). Now, my job with employer B in USA is about to be over and I am trying to find another employer in USA. My old petition with employer A is still valid not cancelled(not revoked). Question 1: ---------- Can I use the same old petition and start working for employer A right away? OR Are there any complications involved? Question 2: ----------- Does employer A need to file a new LCA if I want to join them on an already existing approved H1B? OR Can I simply join them and get the payroll started? Please let me know urgently as I have very limited time left to make decision..
  7. This is regarding H1B transfer. My last day of working with current employer is 6th October, 2014. I will get my last paycheck on 24th October, 2014 with final settlement. My new employer has given me offer but not yet filed H1B transfer petition. If my new employer files my petition after my last working day (6th October) but before my last paycheck (24th Oct) will that be fine ? OR I will be in the risk of getting RFE ? Out of status is from last working day or from last paycheck date ? Should I expect my petition to be approved OR shall I leave the country after 6th October ? Any information in this regard will be very helpful ... Thanks..

    Visa Stamping after H1 transfer

Everybody says that if employer is changed and current visa is valid then no need to get new visa stamp. But when I recenlty checked with US consulate (usvisadocs support india) about this, they instructed me to get new stamp for new employer ! Not sure why they are saying so...when so many people have already travelled without any problem with existing valid visa stamp.

H1B visa stamping after employer change

Hi, I am getting this same answer from everybody that no need to go for new visa stamping when employer is changed provided current visa is valid. BUT... when I checked with us consultate india (usvisadocs suport), they said I should get a new visa stamp if employer is changed ! Not sure which is correct and don't know why consulate has asked me to get new visa if so many people have travelled with exsting visa without any problem.
