Hi, Person "X" is in USA on H1B. I wanted to know if any person being on H1b can invest money on a movie ? In detail, "X" wanted to buy rights for distributing a bollywood movie in a particular state or county. Is this not illegal ?

Hi , I would like to know if the below situation is possible. I am on h4 visa currently residing in US. I would like to apply for H1 this year with out COS. Can I apply for H1b with out COS and can I use my h1b starting from next year March ? How much would it cost for me to file a COS later ? is it worth doing it ?

U should have pay stubs for all the periods.. If u r on h1b u should get paid all the time.. Have all the email proofs and file a complaint to dol. Find a good employer and welcome to the world of h1b

As per the agreement i have to serve 180 days notice period.my ex employer was not following law and broke our verbal agreements several times. but i had served just 15 days notice and moved to new employer.even the client and vendor and middle vendors are fine with 15 days notice. Employer gave my details to debt collection agency for the uncovered notice period.they are falling on my back and asking me to pay my salary for the uncovered notice period. is this legal?? I am in process of approaching a labor attorney!!

Client enforced contractors to take forced vacation for 15 days .. For those 15 days, my saved pto was flushed by employer... I told them it was not my choice.. But they dint hear.. But i lost my pto which was saved for my marriage..

Can some one use their PTO during notice period? Can they use their 15days PTO as 15 days notice period??

Employer is based out of Ilinois but working in Ohio state. Should I approach Labor lawyer in Illinois or in Ohio ?

I wanted to clarify one thing. When I say "fake payroll" .. He deducted 5k$ from mysalary stating that they have given trainng.I calling it as FAKE. I have not received any training from any body . He just made me to wait for project for a month and did not pay me salary for that month.In the paystub he made a record saying the salary was paid in form of training.

Hi, I had joined as a fulltime employee for a one of the employers. My employer is not following the law and he comiited the fraud like by not paying me while i was on bench.. He ran a fake payroll saying that he had provided training during non project days and deducted money from my salary. Also i changed the location and he told me that he amended the h1b. but he is not willing to show a proof. He kept my visa at risk and i wanted to go to india for my marriage.i am sure my visa will be rejected if i have no amendment. In this situation i took offer from my vendor and i had informed this to my employer. Yes i did signed non compete agreement and employer based on illinois state. Employer sent a legal notice to me and asked to pay the losses incurred to him.i have heard that non compete agreements are in valid in illinois state if the job duration is less than 1 year . Can i inform DOL about my employer?

Lets if an employer(BELONGS to state A) is holding your check . If I(WORKS IN STATE B) have to complaint to DOL , where should i file the complaint ? If employer is going to file a law suit what laws applies to the case ? Is it federal law or state law?
