@Sai You can ask your employer to reach out to them if you are having problems reaching the office yourself. You should give them details on your case like case no, passport no, 797 no, explain your situation and ask if they can help. My visa appointment was on 10/24 and I got my passport with the stamp on 11/22

Everyone who is waiting. Here are a few things I did that may help 1) Please also call your Senator. You don't need any special connections. Most states have 2 Senators. Find out who they are. Call their office, explain the situation to them. They usually have an immigration person on staff. They might tell you that the best they can do is do an inquiry, and that is o.k. - it won't hurt. They may have you sign a privacy waiver form so they can inquire on your behalf. I did this, and I don't know if it helped, but I got the approval email next week, so it definitely didn't hurt. In case you have problems getting this as an individual, ask your employer to contact the same office. As local employers, I am sure their voice would be heard. 2) Green 221Gs (TAL): If you work on things in the public domain, and use knowledge in the public domain, have your employer send a letter. I had a green 221g, so I also asked my employer to send a letter to the consulate saying that all the work that I do is in the public domain, and the knowledge I need to do my job is also in the public domain. This is true in my case, so if you work at some top secret national lab, obviously you can't say that. This may also help. The letter also explained that they really would like to have me back at work as soon as possible. 3) Call any other authority or prominent organizations in your field (such as National Academy of Sciences) who can help. I didn't do this, but NIVApplicant did, and I would not be surprised if it helped. Most of these prominent organizations are setup to help their constituents. They may not have a set procedure to do so like a Senator, but if you ask them to write a factual letter explaining the value of your work and that it is in the public domain, they would be very open to it.

NIVApplicant: You said "One thing everyone could do, to call FBI office to take initiative. First step starts there. I called every other office yesterday and learned those things .... You could google the numbers and start calling them." I have not read about this before. Could you explain who you called, and what you asked them for everyone's benefit?

My interview was on 24th. Submitted docs on 28th. Update date had changed on November 4th to Nov 4th. Today it got changed to Nov 18th. Not sure what it means, but hopeful.
-
@manoh1b - No updates :-( It is still in administrative processing with the last update date of Nov 4. Not sure if the update date mean anything unless you get the email as well but looks like they are making some progress in your case.

I notice a few people who have already been issued Visa, but have been unable to update their complete date yet. I think Checkee is a fantastic effort, but I hope everyone who adds their case goes back and updates it when the get a decision, so we can get accurate information on waiting time.

@murthyh1b Scroll to page 6 on this thread and there is a status of everyone in a similar situation and how long each person has been waiting!

I went on 1/31 to the consulate to get a status update but I was not allowed to enter. The chinese lady at the window checked and said that she got the documents I submitted (They asked for me CV, publications, etc) and I have to wait now and she cannot give me a timeframe. Btw, they changed the status update date on the website to 11/4 but it is still under administrative processing. Does any of you know if a change in status update date mean anything? Thank you and wish y'all good luck! Hope we all can get back home soon

Any updates for any of you guys? @chavvavijay @NIVApplicant @Sneha12 @bi2013 @smuppala02 ?

I was given a form. Looked Blue to me, but I am somewhat color blind! They seem to always issue a green form for TAL checks, which is what is happening with my case I suppose - because they asked for my resume/research/publications etc.
-
No updates yet. I guess my color is Green as well, since they asked for the same documents as Sneha and Manoj (Resume/CV/Research etc)

Interview date: Oct 24th Got Blue 221g with a request for my resume Submitted it the same day Now waiting. No update on CEAC website. @Sneha12 - My case is exactly like yours. Have you heard back?
