    I have seen 4 H1b's attended in my time slot and I believe all 4 got approved. I also met a lady, her change of status is denied by USCIS and she got consular H1b, Even H1b stamping is also approved in Calgary.

    Oct 14th : Holiday in Canada..so no update from Canada post.

    Oct 15th : At 11am received email from Canada post that my passport is ready for pick up.

     

    Picked up the passport at 11:15 am and flew back to USA same day.

    Immigration check is in Calgary airport only, they asked me which city I am heading to and my residence address.

     

    I was really tensed before interview, but every thing went very smooth. Thanks a lot to this forum which helped me to prepare well.

    Hello Viewers,

    I came to USA in 2009 on F1 visa, Completed Masters in 2011. After that I worked on OPT,OPT-Extension and then I started working on H1b from 2013.

    I have never been out of country after I started working on H1b. I have my first H1b stamping interview scheduled on Oct 10th in Calgargy Canada Consulate.

    I am just wondering is it advisable to go to Canada as  this is my First H1b stamping.  What are the chances of getting approval or 221g? If I get 221g what is time frame to get the Visa approved. I am working on EVC model and working with same employer for last 8 years. Also is this is good time to go to Canada for interview .

    Any inputs or advise is greatly appreciated.

    Can please help me in my scenario....

    I am working on OPT extension , my wife and my kid got their F2 VISA approved. They are coming to US on April 27 2013. I am applying for my H1b on April 1st 2013 in premium processing, I hope it would get approved by April 15th as I am fullfillng all the requirements. my Question is will my wife and kid have any problem at Port of entry with their F2 visa since I already had my H1b approved. I know that my H1b start date will be from Oct 1st 2013, but still wandering.
