  1. Congrats Ram! and thanks for sharing your experience. I am curious about the PIMS part. Do you know if there's anything we can do proactively to avoid that scenario - "NO PIMS"?
  2. Can you guys please update when you receive the passport? I have my interview on the 18th and I am considering moving it if it's too long to get the passport back now.
  3. Hi Folks, I have my visa interview on 18th September. I was talking to the Immigration Specialist at my company and he told me that USCIS is heightening the security in wake of the unrest in the Middle East. Not really sure what that means, but here are some of the things that he mentioned - 1. It might take longer to enter the Consulate due to heightened security. So get there an hour in advance. 2. Security clearance after the interview might take longer. Which means it might take longer to get the passport back. Longer than 5 business days! I am afraid of being stuck in Vancouver for 2-3 weeks:( He said that this happens anytime there are any security threats/concerns against the US or its nationals. I don't think anyone knows for sure, but I am a little skeptical about going for the interview now. Did anyone have an interview recently after the attacks, say on Thursday 9/13 or Friday 9/14? If yes, how was your guys' interview experience? Was your visa approved? Also, how long did it take to get into the consulate? Thanks much and I truly appreciate your response! Sonal
