  1. Visa, its strictly a personal decision. You will have to take the decision on ur own, while gathering the general trend there, I was told that many people are now getting their visa stamped. This includes people who visas were on AAP or which were rejected earlier. it is a risk, but it might be worth taking also.
  2. Hi, Thanks a lot for the wishes. I am yet to receive my passport though. Hoping to get it today or at the most tomorrow. I did withdraw my application. I spoke to the VFS and inquired about the steps for the same.I made a notarised doc with a request to withdraw the application. I send that along with the 221G letter as an email to them. They forwarded that letter to USCIS. I recieved a ack email from VFS telling that the email was forwarded to USCIS. The problem with withdrawing the older H1B visa is that you are loosing ur chance, but honestly a second attempt might not be bad also. We are kinda set in an impasse, what to do remains the question? Its a tricky decision to be made. The whole withdrawing might take like 2 weeks.
  3. Sathys and Visa, I did attend my H4 Interview a few days back. VO Told me that my Visa is approved and I will get my passport back in a week. I am hoping that my passport will come in a week. While I was there I gathered some info, publishing those info a) six months back, the sitn was horrible, everyone was rejected. b) Many people who have been rejected have went for interview once more and have got their Visa Approved. c) Sitn as of today or recent periods have been very encouraging and people are getting stamped. Is there any truth in this? I withdrew my application and send a notarized letter for the same before I attended the interview.
  4. Visa and Sathys, as informed earlier the mail which I got from VFS was not a denial notice, looks like one more 221G has been slapped on my head along with my old one. I will try to put the message in this blog. I am not sure what I need to do now, can someone point out a few options please?
  5. Hi, Sorry for not being regular for a few days,. This is the latest email which I got from VFS. As per the US Consulate, they would like to inform you that your case continues to undergo administrative processing. While we understand your concern and probable frustration, we cannot speed things up as much as we would like to do so. Although your case number s correct, not all cases are listed on our website. We will continue to process your case and quickly notify you if we require any additional documents. Unfortunately, we cannot give a specific time frame during which processing will be completed. We are well aware how frustrating these delays can be for applicants and do our best to perform the work as quickly as possible. As per the US Consulate, they would like to inform you that your case continues to undergo administrative processing. I am not sure what this means and all, first I receive a double 221G, now I get this, What does this mean? Does anyone have any idea? Will my second 221G occupy another 4 more months? Questions are all galore in my head. Please respond.
  6. @visa, I work for a small consultancy. I am being contracted by a bigger Indian Company. This is how, I am working. I was asked general questions like, how does the client monitor and regulate ur work?, how is the work evaluated?, Who gives u a computer to finish ur work and stuff like that? The VO, was a lady who was really really picky,I have encountered the same questions 2 times, one when I went for a stamping last time, and the last time, when I was asked by USCIS, via phone, when I filled for my amended petition. I dont remember the questions fully though. Also, if I am going with my amended petition for a new visa stamping, would it be safe for me to retract my H1B back? Anymore questions are appreciated.I will give my feedback for them. Visa, what is ur status now?
  7. Hi, I got this letter drafted as "Letter of Refusal" on Saturday. There are a few points which I would like to discuss at this point of time. a) My interview was on 17th Feb, the letter which I got was dated on 23rd Feb. All this while, me and the senator's aide who was helping was given an answer that my H1B is in Administration Pending, this is the answer which I got from DOS. How come an H1B which was rejected on 23rd Feb, be in Admin Pending for the last 3 months? b) In the letter it is specifically written that the H1B was being returned to USCIS and from there to the petitioner. The petitioner has to reply to the letter for unrevoking the H1B. What does that mean at all? c) I had registered for a Change of Employer status, which is called Amendment. I have the Amendment filled and approved. Can I go for a further appointment with my Amended H1B for further stamping? Would the amended petition be regarded as a fresh H1B? d) Or does the above letter meant that my H1B was revoked and I can apply for a new H1B. If so, can I go for the stamping with the newer H1B? Please provide the feedback, I would appreciate it.
  8. Hi, There is a bad news from my part, my Visa has been revoked, I am not sure what needs to be done. Reason has not been told in that letter. It is told that they will contact my petitioner. Kindly email me suitable suggestion at this blog. I have my amended petition ready, since I changed the client, can I go for a stamping once more? Is it possible for me to go to US in a H4 Visa, if my spouse can sponsor the Visa? Thanks vaddy
  9. Hey all, No news from anyone, Its already Wednesday, any updates? Sathys, did you hear about any? Visablues....any updates from your side. From my side there are no updates.
  10. Sathys, looks like the train has lowly started to move. I hope you get ur visa soon. Please keep us posted. Visablues, Feb17th, me and you, can we expect something this week or so?
  11. Visablues and Sathys, thanks for the quick update and the support. Guys, I will have to admit that the support which I am getting in this forum is amazing. I wholeheartedly thank u guys for all this. Mine is a EVC model. I answered all the questions. Also, Visablues, I would slightly disagree with u on the response, I have seen weird cases getting approved. Serioulsy, when I went for my stamping, I had my approved H1, since I shifted the client I also had my amended petition also approved. When I gave the VO, the original H1B and I told her that I also have my amended petition, she did not even know of that or what amended petition means. I also had my LCA for the new client also. From what I feel, may be I might be wrong, its sheer luck and nothing else. Also, if Sathys had an intimation on May7th, mine and Visablues might also get it approved soon. Anyway, at this point of time, hope is our only weapon.
  12. Hi, Sathy's thanks for the update, I dont know why I got a 221G. I am kinda getting afraid now. Infact what are we supposed to do now?I am perplexed. I am sure that they are trying their level best to not allow anyone thru by issuing this stupid 221G. I also signed the questionnaire of this EER where they asked me a lot of questions. Glad2000 had his 221g on Feb7th, and ur was on Jan 30th, to me I thot u might get it first and then glad2000. But from the look of it, he got it first and ur info is yet to come, ie its counting out to be a random process and nothing else. One thing which I wanted to share with u guys is that my i140 is approved now. Will it make any difference to this 221G? Please post feedback and updates, Appreciate all the updates and feedbacks.
  13. Visablues, thanks a lot for the info. Sathys, may I ask you to color of the slip which you got? I got a green one with box ticked as "The Visa will be send to USCIS for further processing..."some words like that. Did u the same? Sathy's any happy news from your side. Has anyone got the one which I got? if so, please respond back. I would appreciate it.
  14. Hi, Glad2000, I am very happy for you man. I assume that Visablues has given you the right info and you are all set to get your Visa in a few days time. Visablues, thanks for the quick update. I totally appreciate it. a) What exactly does this AAP, mean? Visablues could you please explain this for me and for the general benefit? b) Sathys, if I am correct you had ur interview on jan 30th rt? Did u get any intimation of the same?
  15. To all I spoke to the Senator's aide and for me, the status is still kept in Admin processing, it seems that she called DOS. I am not sure what we should infer from it. i am like 95+ days now in 221G.
