@ AL 786: Can you please update us with your case status. Did you get the visa stamped yet? Mine is a similar case. Interviewed on Second week of Jan 2012. (Almost 110 days back) No Docs were asked they issued yellow slip and was told to look at the CEAC barcode and submit the passport. Common Muslim name: Yes

Guys, Looks like no one is updating this thread, please let us know if anyone has any update from the Mumbai consulate.

@ rsriyans: Very positive sign. Hopefully you should get the visa stamped in about 2 to 3 days. Can you please let us know you were in EVC or EC model ?

@Ashukla: Also as per your previous post you said that you were given white slip. Can you please let us know what were the docs they asked you to submit.

@ Ashukla: Very sorry to hear about your case. I believe you were in E-C relationship? Also can you please check your H1B status and let us know what it says? Try to file a new H1 with the client itself and see what happens.

@ Ashukla & All: I sent out an email to the consulate asking my current status last week. Today I got the status that my case is still in Admin processing. Almost 69 days have been passed I am not sure how much more time it will take for them to clear my case....... Any thoughts ??

@Ashukla & All, You mean to say that we need to send the email to vfs helpline that is mentioned on their website and they send our query to the Mumbai consulate, after getting the status from the Mumbai consulate they send that response back to us. What I was trying to ask you is there any direct email where we can forward our request to the Mumbai consulate?

@ Ashukla: Thanks for the response. I am not sure what email address we need to use in order to reach out the Mumbai consulate. Can you please let us know the email address of the consulate as it has so many and we don't want to send our email to the wrong email address.

@ Ashukla: What is the best way to know that our case has been sent to USCIS once again. Week before I received email from vfs mumbai that my case is still under Admin processing. Note that as per vfs they got this response from consulate.

@ Praveenpadman: Also can you please check the status of your H1B (on uscis website your h1b receipt number & let us know the status of it).

@ Praveenpadman: So you got the response form vfs office Mumbai (I am assuming they contacted the Mumbai Consulate). Are you on EVC ? or EC or with direct client?

@ Ashukla & All: We don't see any approval from the month of January as there are people in this forum who were interviewed on the first week of January. Also the approved CEAC barcodes in the website are not in a serial order. For example we see AA0021, AA0022, AA0023 AND 24 ....... so on. The number is getting increased day by day but we dont see those numbers which are before 21, 22 etc. Any thoughts........ ?

@man_1975: I have no idea whether we will get an email or not. @ Ashukla & all: What is the best way to track our application. Is it VFS website or calling the VFS hotline or sending an email to the VFS ? When I track my application over the VFS website it says :" your passport is under process at US consulate" Can you all let me know what is your status when you track your application ?

@ashukla: Thanks for all your answers & valuable suggestions buddy. Also have an important question in regard to the CEAC barcodes: I gave my interview in January, do I need to look out my CEAC barcode in the pdf of January or Feb ?
