  1. Hi Guys, I'm a resident of India and my H1B approved under counselor processing. As you guys are aware that waiting time for HYD or any other Indian city dates are more than 2 months and I need to travel to the US ASAP. So can I attend visa interview in any other country other than India? 1) Can I attend the Visa interview in Singapore? 2) What are the advantages and disadvantages of attending an interview in Singapore and Hyderabad? 3) Which one do you guys recommend Singapore or any other country?   2. I got H-1b approved. It gonna start from Oct 1 2012. My Stem extension is going to end on July 3rd 2012. 1) What happens if my employer who applied for my H-1B revokes it, or stops running pay stubs during Cap gap. 2) Is there any possibility to transfer my H-1b during cap gap before my employer terminates my job. 3) If my employer terminates my job or stops running payrolls during capgap, Am I eligible for 120 days of unemployment grace period as I had during STEM.   4. My STEM extension is going to expire on July 3rd 2012. My current employer applied for H-1B on April 10th. Decision is still pending with USCIS. If approved my H1-B may start on October 1st 2012. My question is during Cap gap period which type of employment rules applies to me(Whether F1-OPT or H1-B). Correct me if I'm wrong about below two sentences. What I heard from my friends is During OPT, It is allowed to stay on status without job for 3 months(Without running payroll). During H1-B, It is not allowed to stay on status without job even for single day. Whenever the employer who holded my H-1B status terminates me from job. I heard that I will loose my status. Is that true. Will I not granted some grace period to find new job and apply for H1 transfer. 1)During Cap gap period which type of employment rules applies to me(Whether F1-OPT or H1-B). 2) What happens if employer terminates me and revocate my H1-B during my Cap gap status(Bw July-Oct 2012)? (Will I be still on capgap status and can look for new employer to file H1 transfer) 3) What happens if employer terminates me and revocate my H1-B during my H1-B status (After Oct 2012)?
  5. Thanks Joe for reply. Girl I'm going to marry is Green card holder not Citizen or Permanent resident. She got green card through his father. But she was born and brought up in INDIA. She is visiting US once in a year to renew it I think. So is this(Green card) status different from Citizenship and Permanent resident status. So I have to wait 2-5 years to work if I apply GC through this process.
  6. Hi Every one, I'm going to marry a girl who got GC. My doubt is after marrying her, 1) can I immediately file for GC or do I need to wait for 1 year or certain period to file GC. 2) Even if I file for GC immediately, What is the approximate time it takes to get my green card. 3) Will I directly get GC if I file or Will I get any other cards like temporary GC or EAD to work or do I need to undergo any different status before I got GC. 4) Under what status I can start working legally in US (approximately what is the time it takes) after getting married to girl with GC .
