hi guys, i came to the US on a B2 visa. I found a employer here who filed for my H1. i recd a RFE last month. The problem that i had was that my I-94 was expiring on Nov 7th. I asked my lawyer and he told me to file an extension which i did. Just last week i got a approval of extension. My I-94 is now valid till May 6th. BUT my H1b is still in process.... I've got a RFE on the 16th November. My RFE is 6 pages long and they are asking for dozens n dozens of things. I wanted to ask everybody out there, what is the outcome nowadays after RFE. Rumon, what details did they ask you in your RFE? are you a fresh H1b applicant like me?

I applied for a H1b visa from a B2 visa. got a 6 page long RFE. 1 of the requirements wanted was a evaluation from a college/university professor who has a degree with the same major as mine (business administration). the evaluation has to be on the professor's college/university letter head. does anyone know any professor who can take care of my evaluation? urgently reply plz!!!

Thanx Joe for your prompt reply, I have a Associates Degree in Business Administration (from a college in Chicago ) and 6 yrs experience from a firm in Pakistan. I am looking for a college professor having a degree in Business, who can evaluate both, degree and exp together. I asked my college, but the Business Professor can only evaluate my degree and not my experience. Plz reply ASAP.. thanx

@CV...i transfered from B2 visa to a H1b visa. its not approved yet. i got a RFE yesterday. it took about 3 months from my receipt date till my RFE date...but my lawyer did tell that me its better to apply after a couple of months after you enter the US on a B2 visa.

hi guys, (new H1b application) My receipt date was August 24th I got a RFE today but haven't recd the actual packet yet.. i think they have started processing August applications. Good Luck and lets all hope for the best..

@Limeless...Im in the same boat as you...I came to the US on a B2 visa, after 4 months i found a job here and my employer filed H1b for me. My I-94 had expired on Nov 7th but my lawyer told me that i can stay here legally as long as my case is pending. Hopefully i'll get an approval but if i don't i have to leave the country right away..

I've heard that right now USCIS are processing July cases in all the centers..

I talked to my lawyer today and he said that currently all the centers are taking about 4 months for the decision. Movement in the "status" should come after 3 months or so..

@Pnk; in the back of the encashed chq, you'll see the reciept number stamp. it starts with a 3 letter abbreviation. tell your employer to gv you a copy of the chq.
