  1. Good morning everyone, I just received a letter in mail on 10/03/15 that my Bio-metrics appointment is scheduled for 10/14/2015. However I will be out of town for work purpose and now I will have to reschedule my Biometrics appointment, which I don't mind. My only question or concern I should say is that once I sent an application request for rescheduling the date, will it delay the rescheduling date for finger printing? I will also be providing request from my boss to provide a letter on the importance of this business trip and why I would have to reschedule it rather than come back for finger printing based on current appointment date set. Any sort of input from the experts here will be of great help :) Thanks Mihir
  2. Good morning everyone, I have my conditional greencard through marriage that is expiring tomorrow 09/18/2015. However I was under trhe impression that it expires on 10/18/2015 (which is completely my fault and slightly irresponsible to have taken it lightly and procrastinated on filing the application earlier), and now I mailed my application earlier this week, just 7 days before my GC expires. So my question is that how long does it take to get a receipt for my I751 which automatically extends my GC for another one year while I wait for the rest of the GC apporval process to take place in the background? Thanks Mihir
  3. Good afternoon, I have an interview scheduled with my spouse (she's a citizen) for marriage based Green card application. Can someone please list few generic questions that we can expect for this interview? We are already all set with the questions and what all documents we need to carry and produce for evidence in case they ask, but still it's never a harm to get as much as input as needed. Thanks in advance. Regards, Mihir

    Marriage Based Interview Questions

Thanks Belle, yes we got married in May 14th and had our petition filed by June 1st week. We have a joint bank statement for a savings account and me and my wife listed on my car's driver's insurance and joitn name for utilities. I hope that's enough plus a lots and lots of photographs to prove our marriage is genuine and also. I hope joint bank savings account, utilities bill and proof of insurance is more than enough. Mihir
  7. Hello everyone, I just recieved two email noticiations for my EAD the first one read as "Card/ Document Production" which is the last stage of EAD approval process and after an hour I recieved another email where the status switched backward to "Post Decision Activity". Is this normal? Prior to these statuses, it read "Initial Review". Can anyone help me to give an estimate as to when will I recieve my card in mail or when is it that I can officially start working? I have a job offer and I need to give them a precise date before I lose the offer :(( Thanks MD

For a naturalization application the interview will include your taking the required English and/or Civics tests (unless exempt or waived). If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision from USCIS within the current processing time listed*, please contact USCIS Customer Service at (800) 375-5283. *Current processing times can be found on the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov under Check Processing Times. *** Please do not respond to this e-mail message. Sincerely, The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) However I still have no word on my EAD and teh status online still says "initial review". 21. Hello everyone, I'm currently on h1-B visa and soon getting married to my future wife who is a citizen. However I just gor laid off from my company recently an dhave 4 weeks to find a job to transfer my H1B visa, however if I do not find a job and decide to get court married, the legal process will still take time. If it takes longer than four weeks then my H1B visa will get cancelled and I will be out of status. To avoid the hassle of leaving the country please advice what's a good solution to make the transition process go smoother. Thank you, Mihir
