  1. OK Thanks for the info. One question. I am planning to go to H1 visa stamping next month. Will the RFE status of I140 have any effect during my visa interview? I have copy of approved I140 though.
  2. Hello All, Some strange thing happend today on my I-140 case. My I-140 was approved in June 2016 with my previous employer. He withdrawn the case on April 10, 2019 as I moved to different employer. And I saw the case update for withdrawn online on April 10th. But today (June 5th) the case updated with this information online saying that “Post office returned the notice we sent for you” and after that immediately the status is showing as “Request for additional evidence”. Is it something to worry about as I already transferred to new company based on my I-140 ? Why would there be any RFE after the withdrawl ? looks very strange.

  4. Sunil, There was no issue for me. we prepared affidavit and they accepted. Also we had the names corrected in our passport according to their passport names.
  5. Ok . Thanks Ashuneel! one more question. Any idea how can we call for interpretor at the consulate office at hyderabad as my parents does not know english and they want to be interviewed in native language so that they answer confidently? Will interpretors available on at the visa officers desk or how can we reach them? Thanks, Ranjit
  6. Thanks Ashuneel for the replying. Yes they applied visitor visa but I helped filling all the forms (online profile, DS-160, payment of fees). So you mean they should not take Form I-134 to the interview? Thanks, Ranjit
  7. Hi everyone, I am applying for visitor visa for my parents. I am sponsoring them. I have scheduled interview for them in December last week. There are 2 issues with the names in the passports. My mother has her spouse name 1 letter "A" missing in her passport. Instead of ''VENKATA" , her passport has "VENKAT" as she got her passport according to her voter ID. Will that cause an issue during the interview ? My passport has father name spelt wrong.1 letter "A" missing in my passport. Instead of ''VENKATA" , my passport has "VENKAT" as I got her passport according to my certificates. Will this cause an issue during the interview? Will preparing an affidavit that both "VENKATA" and "VENKAT" names are referring to the same person will work during the interview if visa officer asks about this? Could someone help me with this? Thanks. Thanks, Ranjit
