  1. Check the ARV category/conditions within USCIS website, as long as you meet those requirements, you should be good. However, change of status is not allowed via ARV.
  2. Yes, you can apply for a GC to your parents and they can travel directly on GC once approved.
  3. You can definitely take a chance in a different country however, they might recommend you to apply in their home country...so you just be prepared for that.
  4. You might want to rethink your request as it doesn't qualify for an emergency appointment.
  5. You need to follow the standard procedure, "lost-passport" & fill out all documents/requirements w.r.t lost/stolen/damaged category & then complete your DS-160 and furnish your reports/complaints as supporting documents. USCIS has a requirement to furnish "ALL PASSPORT COPIES" NEW/OLD, "ALL VISAS ISSUED" VALID/EXPIRED etc, now when you cannot furnish what they wanted, please supply the solid reason on why exactly you are unable to do so.
  6. It could be considered as "no show" or might result in RFE since they would be expecting 3 passports and you changed your mind and will submit only 2, so, if you wish to use the same slot then if they ask for 3rd passport as part of RFE then please be prepared to make travel arrangements for your daughter to travel and attend dropbox/interview on requested date. You may have to cancel all 3 & reschedule for 2 only and even then be prepared to identify how your dependent daughter is able to stay without parents in US.
  7. You have to follow the standard protocol and apply for a new passport with reason lost/stolen & get some documents from Immigration authority that it was lost at their facility and furnish those to your police complaint as evidence, then schedule your stamping appointment along with all documents you acquired while your passport was re-issued. No, Indian govt will issue a new passport only, visa is subject to applicant and has nothing to do with them.
  8. Infants are usually were not called often at the time of personal interviews, so your infant's birth certificate and additional documents should be good, dropbox is case by case and you will not know it until you paid the fees and answer all questions listed in their website. Since its the only application that requires stamping you need to complete application for your new born.
  9. Yes, there have been few cases where they could not accept certain documents unless the applicant is in home country....in your case its NOT, they can reject applications for a variety of reasons and not just by degree certificate validation...its better if you stay in London and enjoy your work....you're in good shape with your residence permit and focus on your British citizenship...GC is a long way to go unless you intend to go through it.
  10. Probably, they will verify your passport and either cancel by asking you to get new passport, if you think logically the passport was valid at the date/time of application and invalid at the time of appointment, so its better you use new application along with new passport for a smooth sailing.
  11. You can send an email citing a valid reason to change your interview slot for in-person since you definitely wanted in-person and defaulted to dropbox based on their questionnaire. It has not changed to anyone in the past, usually consulate does call for in-person even though applicants delivered their documents to their dropbox facility, though on a case by case basis, you could try your option via email.
  12. You can send them an email explaining your situation however, there hasn't been any stories about securing an emergency appointment while not being in real/actual emergency, your best bet would be to talk/discuss with your employer/client and request an extension and approval to work remotely until you secure an appointment and update them on your precise appointment date, USCIS does not change rules for individual cases & situations. In regards to your mortgage, you may need to use emergency clause and put a hold until you get back and resume payments, some lenders offer that for a certain period. Goodluck.
  13. You need to provide your current/present employer details at all times to USCIS during your interview.
  14. Should be ok as long as your passport doesn't expire within ~6months and you don't have any other concerns with your application in general, read through the forum & you will notice some travelled with 2months left on their visa.
  15. At the time of your application, you're single which is right. At the time of your spouse application, she's married, which is exactly what you need to insert. Be prepared for any questions and show proof of wedding like photos, wedding invitations, marriage certificates etc. They know and understand but still verify due to security concerns if indeed yours is a genuine application or not.
