curiousBenjamin
With my wife being pregnant my in-laws are itching to visit us so they can help with care. They plan on visiting us from June 1st to July 15th (45 days) and then return to India and do a longer 6 month visit around when the baby is due which is November. Will the frequency of their travel impact the length of stay for when they visit in November? Will their 6 month trip need to be shortened by 45 days? Many thanks to you all! Link to comment
rahul412
Yes it matters, no matter how many days they stay in US. Frequent visits on B2 is a red flag. Link to comment
pontevecchio
They may get a shorter stay in November or they may get a 6 month stay. Link to comment
JoeF
With my wife being pregnant my in-laws are itching to visit us so they can help with care While it is a nice gesture to want to help with care, be aware that that is not allowed for visitors. It would be unauthorized work, Link to comment
thanksmurthyforum
It can not be looked at as "unauthorized work", because they are not getting paid. (as per my understanding) Link to comment
JoeF
It can not be looked at as "unauthorized work", because they are not getting paid. (as per my understanding) Getting paid or not is irrelevant. It is still unauthorized work, because that is work that somebody usually would get paid for. The visitor takes the job of an American, and that's a big no-no. Link to comment
mdummy
I am surprise to know the frequent visits causes concern here, any way if you dont like to take chance let them ask to come on November Link to comment
