F2 visa application with court marriage

Iam currently applying for F1 visa and hope to get it in a month or so. Iam also going to get married in August and my to be wife will be applying for F2 visa after the marriage. We are not going for a traditional large scale wedding but a normal Arya Samaj mandir marriage which is valid and legal in India. It provides us with the required legal marriage certificate and also carries out the marriage in proper hindu tradition style.  We won't have any proper big wedding album but all the wedding pics of two of us getting married and our parents would be at the occasion.

Can you tell if there are going to be any complications with this? What kind of questions would the VO office ask and what proofs should we take to make our case strong for F2 visa?

Arya samaj marriage is legal but not just their certificate alone..make sure you follow all the proper procedures to get the actual govt marriage certificate..

the primary focus for f2 would be your financial ability to support her...they may or may not dwell in to the non traditional wedding..but you need to be prepared to provide proper answers on why you didn't have a regular ceremony....

oh..I personally know of several cases where they grilled about wedding for spousal petitions...cosulars know the usual scale of indian weddings even for middle class..anything out of the ordinary is a trigger for investigating the legitimacy of the wedding..

lot of folks from a particular state used to bring siblings as spouses and the small group "wedding", just for the sake of pictures used to be the typical procedure..
